If Chris Ainscough or a member of the team at Sandside Farm feel that the horse requires urgent/emergency veterinary attention and the OWNER cannot be contacted immediately, Chris Ainscough and team reserves the right to organise treatment, and the OWNER accepts responsibility for any arising costs. If the OWNER has a budget for veterinary treatment or limitations to what emergency procedures they would choose for their horse then please state below:

The OWNER understands that whilst at Sandside Farm the horse will be looked after to the best of our ability. The OWNER accepts that Chris Ainscough nor Sandside farm is not deemed liable for any injury (short or long term), lameness, illness or death of the horse/pony whilst at Sandside farm. Any loss of value of the horse is entirely at the OWNERS risk.*

If the horse or pony requires any veterinary treatment, farriery or alternative therapy during their stay the OWNER accepts responsibility for any arising costs.*

The OWNER agrees that if a veterinary surgeon advises immediate euthanasia of the horse to prevent further suffering in the case of severe illness or injury and the OWNER cannot be quickly contacted, the OWNER agrees that Chris Ainscough or a member of his team may give permission to euthanise the horse to the Veterinary surgeon on the OWNERS behalf. The cost of euthanasia and disposal of the horse is the sole responsibility of the horse OWNER.*

The OWNER agrees to pay weekly for the livery costs by either bank transfer or cash payment.*

The horse must be fully vaccinated for equine flu before arriving. Please take your horses temperature before bringing your horse and if above 38.5 C and or your horse is showing any signs of fever, diarrhoea, nasal discharge or a cough that isn’t normal for your horse then please delay bringing your horse to Sandside farm and contact Chris.*

Please note horses/ponies are kept in individual pens with indoor and outdoor areas with access to contact other horses through the fence at all times. Before bringing your horse please make sure you have seen the set up either in person or by video to confirm that you are comfortable with it for your horse.*

The horses are trained 5 days per week as a standard, if for any reason we cannot work your horse 5 times in a particular week, we will either add an extra days training to the following week or apply a discount to the week that was missed.*

The horses/ponies here are fed Baileys Lo Cal Balancer and home grown haylage. If your horse requires any food other than this then you will need to provide it.*

Please send your horse with the minimum that they require but include anything specific to them i.e. medications/creams etc.*

Any rugs you send other than a sweat rug should be of the outdoor variety due to the horses in our care having 24/7 access to hardstanding outside areas. *
